Elected to International Non-Profit Council {PPA}

Local Photographer Joins International Non-Profit Council

Elkridge, MD —Professional photographer Vanessa Ard of Elkridge, MD was elected to join the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Council for 2009 – 2012. A non-profit, international association with 22,000 members, PPA is ultimately governed by its members through such council representatives.

"I'm thrilled to share the views of other PPA members in Maryland so that we can be heard," Vanessa remarked.

PPA Councilors are professional photographers who volunteer their time and service to guide and act as the voice for their state’s PPA members. Duties include discussing and voting on changes to the Bylaws and Adopted Procedures and the leadership of the association (via the election of the board of directors and the Nominating Committee). They also play a crucial role in sharing the PPA message to existing, new and prospective PPA members.

Kelly + Jeremy {Engagement Session}

Kelly and Jeremy are such a cute couple! We roamed some Baltimore streets for their engagement session and I just love the images we created! Unfortunately, the video slideshow doesn't seem to want to work in this blog post so you'll have to venture over to Facebook to view more of their engagement session images. Baby Rhais {Newborn Session}

I could hold Rhais for hours!!! I just want to squeeze her!

Conor and Angela's baby has finally arrived! Welcome, Rhais! Angela knows first-hand how important it is to get your newborn into our studio as soon as possible. For that, she brought in Rhais on her 3rd day of life! Already being a big baby (8lbs 14oz), I'm glad she came in when she did!

Besides being our wonderful studio manager, some of you may know that Angela and her family are very dear family friends of ours - the kind with whom we go camping and do family vacations! Knowing that, don't be surprised when I tell you that we spent 5 hours on this session!

Air-Brush Fun {Studio Fun}

Erica (my good friend over at Silver Immersion) came by the studio the other day to hang out and practice her handy work with make-up airbrushing. (I'm not sure what the "industry" term might be.) She fancied up Angela and me and then we took some test shots in the studio. The funny part is that Erica actually wasn't wearing any make-up herself (because it was just us) but we had her jump in for a group shot anyway. Here I did MY airbrushing magic (in Photoshop) for her since she did such a great job on me (in real life). Angela (just days before having a baby):
